We have recently become members of the Sustainable Restaurant Association, a community of businesses working towards an environmentally restorative and socially progressive UK hospitality sector.
The SRA are a not for profit organisation helping restaurants to become more sustainable and diners to make more sustainable choices. There are a lot of things that we are already doing as a business to be environmentally responsible, but there is more we can do.
By shortening our food supply chain we’re reducing our carbon footprint, improving the quality and seasonality of ingredients and supporting local business and community.
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless, but when we all work together to act more sustainably, we can make a huge difference.
Over the coming months we will be developing our policies across all areas of our business and producing a detailed report of our findings, new systems and aims for the future. The SRA will then be assessing our business in order to provide a Food Made Good sustainability rating for our venues.
We’re really excited to to be members of this community, working together towards a more sustainable future for all. Keep an eye out for updates on our journey.
