TOBACCO FACTORY

Today, Tobacco Factory is a multi-purpose building that houses a lively Cafe Bar, Mark’s Bakery, The Loft space, The Studio room, The Snug, and Sunday Market, as well as meeting spaces, offices for creative businesses and a performing arts school. The building is also home to Tobacco Factory Theatres – one of the most exciting performance venues in the country.

MARK’S BAKERY

Mark’s Bakery sits inside Tobacco Factory on North Street. We serve sourdough, handmade pastries, fresh groceries and made-to-order lunches. Walk through the shop to our covered courtyard to enjoy your coffee.

Our bakery began when Mark received a bread-making course and fell in love with baking. After 11 years, our Southville Sourdough is joined by a full range of breads, pastries, cakes, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, specials and Clifton Coffee.

Our Sunday Market (10:00–14:30) is a great place to meet friends, relax with family, and find local food, crafts and produce. About 60 stalls offer sustainable, locally made items—clothes, jewellery, patisserie, fresh bread and more. Meet the makers, artisans and growers for a true local shopping experience. Combine your visit with brunch at the Cafe Bar, open from 10:00 daily.

Tobacco Factory Theatres is a welcoming space for creativity, connection and great theatre. Though separate from the Tobacco Factory Cafe Bar, it’s in the same building one floor above.

Our vision is to grow an inclusive creative community in South Bristol. We support and develop talent and offer life-changing opportunities through a varied programme of shows, workshops and events. The Get Involved programme provides participation, training and engagement for young people, artists and audiences.
