BS3 Helping Others was set up in May 2016 when Catherine Wescott arrived in Bristol and didn’t know anyone but wanted to give to the Community in some way. Through a post on Facebook offering help, she received encouragement to develop what has become BS3 Helping Others [BS3HO].

Their purpose is to bring individuals and the community of BS3 together for everyone’s benefit. Volunteers are often seeking new connections and anyone interested can join the weekly hosted meetings to hear arranged speakers from local charities talk about their work and inspire people to volunteer with them. BS3HO is completely unfunded and run by volunteers.

The group meets in Tobacco Factory Café Bar, and we are very happy to support the good work that they do by providing them with marketing support and free hot drinks for their meetings. BS3HO actively addresses isolation and loneliness through connecting local volunteers with local charities.
