South Bristol Arts Trail: A Celebration of Local Creativity and Community

The streets of Southville, Bedminster and Ashton will once again come alive with colour, creativity and community spirit as the South Bristol Arts Trail returns on 19 & 20 September. This much-loved annual Trail invites you to explore the work of over 170 local artists, designers and makers who will be exhibiting across 50 venues.

It’s a free, family-friendly weekend packed with exhibitions, workshops, live performances and creative surprises around every corner.

Artists will be showcasing their artwork, demonstrating techniques and selling finished pieces. You’ll be able to find paintings and pottery, craft kits and collage, musicians, mosaics and much more. Joining them will be artists from North St Gallery, The Power of 10 exhibition and students from some of our local schools.

As well as a brilliant selection of exhibiting artists, there’s a wonderful free workshop schedule lined up:
Try your hand at screen printing, make your own woven necklace or indulge in some calmer time with landscape painting. Create with scissors and glue in vintage collage club, watch clay come to life on the potter’s wheel at Estate of the Arts or get creative with the whole family with shiny planet making with Colourful Minds. Your ears can join in the fun too with performances from the Big Friendly Choir and Hannah Wood at St Aldhelm’s Church.

Whether you’re an art lover, a curious newcomer or just looking for an inspiring way to spend a weekend, the South Bristol Arts Trail offers something for everyone.
