She also creates gorgeous accessories from vintage fabrics and fastenings, and runs basic furniture restoration classes.

Trader interview

What do you sell?
I sell hand painted furniture and upholstered furniture, handmade cushions, bags and bunting.

Tell us more about your products…
I search flea markets, boot sales, ebay……..anywhere really!  for furniture and fabric.

Sometimes I paint them or sand/wax/oil the wood.Using both traditional and contemporary methods to upholster each piece depending on the age.

I collect fabric and particularly love vintage which I try to use wherever possible.

I do commissions for clients own furniture and source other pieces, as well as advice on fabric /colours.

What do you love most about the market?
I love the atmosphere, the other traders and of course the lovely customers and i only live down the road so, don’t have to get up too early !!

What is top of your bucket list?
I would love to go to India.

What is on your screensaver?
Sunset on a beach.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I had lots of ideas but, didn’t really know.

How do you relax?
Reading novels and gardening, although that can be hard work !

What would your super power be?
Either flying or time travel, not sure.

Who would play you in the film of your life?
The late Victoria Wood.

What is the worst job you’ve done?
Cleaning the Men’s toilets at a lorry depot, yuk and yuk !!

Favourite place in the world?
Nowhere specific as there are still too many places I have never seen but, I love walking along a deserted beach anywhere at any time of the year
