We are teaming up with TALK CLUB this Monday* 15th January to help banish the winter blues! Grab a free pint of Clear Head 0.5% and enjoy – or join in on – an inclusive and relaxed open mic.

WHO ARE TALK CLUB?

Talk Club is a UK male mental health charity helping men to improve their mental health.

We prefer to call it mental fitness because our talking groups actively help men to understand how they’re feeling by asking ‘How are you? Out of 10?’ then explaining why. It helps to build resilience, and the numbers prove it.

On average, a TC talk and listen group raises a man’s mental fitness by over 15%.

Some of the friendly folk from Talk Club will be at the event to chat and tell you more about what the charity do, as well as a running screening of films made by and about the charity throughout.

HOW IT WORKS

Head to the bar to pop your name down if you would like to join the stage for a jam! There will be 2 hours of open mic – sound tech provided… just bring along your instrument! 

Free pints of Clear Head for all! Clear Head is Bristol Beer Factory’s 0.5% Citra and Mosaic pale where 5% of all proceeds go towards Talk Club’s brilliant and important work.

To set the mood ahead of our jam, we will be treated to a set by the wonderful John Prescott Band;  ‘Swing sensation John Prescott has gained a reputation as one of the most exciting versatile jazz singers to emerge in the South West in recent years. His smooth vocals encompass a wide repertoire from the great American songbook, with influences from artists such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole and, more recently, Michael Bublé and Robbie Williams’
