BS3 Helping Others is a group for people interested in volunteering in their local community.

First Monday of the month, at 6.30pm

The following Tuesday, at 10.30am

In the Snug at the Tobacco Factory Cafe/Bar.

The meet-ups are a chance to find out what’s going on locally, to share news about volunteering and to meet other people and share ideas. There are often speakers from local charities and community groups who come to talk about their volunteering opportunities and latest projects. There’s no pressure to sign up to anything, you can go along to listen and ask questions.
The group also produces a Directory of volunteering opportunities which they can spend time going through at the meetings to help potential new volunteers identify interesting projects to get involved with. You can pick up a directory at the meeting, or it’s also available on the Facebook page or via email. BS3 is such a vibrant, active community, so go along and find out how you can get involved too.
The Tobacco Factory has supported the group for several years by providing space and tea and coffee for the meetings, as well as help with design for the directory and printing the paper copies.
