Join singer-songwriter, storyteller and author Emily Doe for an intimate evening of original songs, stories and seasonal celebration.

Inspired by the Wheel of the Year, Becoming the Bard traces Emily’s journey of writing and offering a new song for each of the eight seasonal festivals, first shared in ceremony over the course of a full turning of the wheel.

Through music, storytelling and gentle moments of audience participation, you’ll journey through the changing seasons, exploring themes of nature, belonging, voice and community. Throughout the evening, you’ll also be invited to enjoy small seasonal tasters inspired by each festival.

The evening also celebrates the launch of The Turning Wheel, Emily’s first songbook, with copies available to purchase.

Whether you’re drawn to folk-inspired music, storytelling, the rhythms of the seasons, or simply looking for a unique and welcoming evening in Bristol, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
