About Factory Foundation
Factory Foundation is dedicated to nurturing grassroots creativity, supporting local initiatives and helping communities across South Bristol bring their ideas to life.
At its heart is a belief that small, locally driven projects can make a big difference. The Foundation provides grants to individuals, community groups and organisations, with a particular interest in imaginative, experimental and ambitious ideas that might struggle to find funding elsewhere.
Its support spans arts and culture, children and young people, climate and environmental action, and health equity. From creative workshops and community arts projects to initiatives that bring people together, build confidence and open up new opportunities, Factory Foundation helps turn local ideas into meaningful action.
By championing people who know their communities best, the Foundation encourages creativity, connection and positive change from the ground up.
Buying a piece of art at this exhibition is not just an opportunity to take home something beautiful – it’s also a way to help new ideas flourish and support the creative life of South Bristol.

Live Music
Alongside the exhibition, we’re delighted to present two special evening concerts:
Saturday 24 October, 7:30pm
Uphill Game
Uphill Game is an acoustic contemporary jazz quartet based in Bristol, UK. It plays open, dynamic, driving, delicate, exploratory, groove- and melody-focused music, inspired by the likes of the William Parker Quartet but with its own distinctive collective voice. Currently one of the UK’s best-kept jazz secrets, the band is delighted to release its first album this spring, recorded live in the sumptuous acoustic of St George’s Bristol.
The band is led by double-bassist & composer Riaan Vosloo. Riaan has played with Nostalgia 77, Tongue Fu, Gregory Porter, Jamie Cullum, and many more. Drummer Matt Stockham Brown leads his own project 6161, won a Montreux Jazz Festival talent award in 2019 and has played with the likes of Massive Attack, Rodriguez (Searching For Sugarman), and Cosmo Sheldrake. Tenor saxophonist Jake McMurchie and flugelhornist Pete Judge are the horn section of BBC Jazz Award winners Get The Blessing, and established composers and band-leaders in their own right.
Sunday 25 October, 6pm
Pete Judge – SOLOISH
Join Bristol-based musician/composer Pete Judge where he’ll be performing pieces from his album “piano 4” (recorded this summer and due for release in 2027), and other compositions, on the venue’s acoustic piano – as well as some new pieces for solo trumpet, with the promise of at least one more surprise instrumental appearance, and at least one very special guest collaborator…
Pete is best-known as trumpeter with BBC Jazz Award-winners @gettheblessing, acoustic duo @jow2o, and ambient-jazz-minimalist duo @eyebrow.music, and multi-instrumentalist with chamber-folk trio @threecanewhale, but he is also composer of 4 albums of solo piano music.
Come along to browse, discover, enjoy live music and perhaps take home a unique piece of art. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or simply curious, everyone is welcome.
