Nat Bevins is a Bristol based photographer specialising in using analogue methods to create images that explore our relationship with nature and the landscape.

Sylvan is an ongoing project that explores woodland environments across the South West. Plants such as nettles and chestnuts foraged from the landscape have been used to create photographic film developer, bringing the land into the physicality of the negatives themselves. The process is more sustainable but less predictable than using traditional darkroom chemicals. The images aim to immerse the viewer in the forests and woodlands at root level.
