Join Conham Bathing, The Goddess of the Wye and Bristol’s river campaign community for an afternoon celebrating our love of rivers and finding ways to protect it.
This is a special preview screening of the feature-length documentary Rave On For The Avon upstairs at Tobacco Factory Theatre.
After the screening, Conham Bathing will present their Thriving Avon Charter and will be hosting a Q+A before moving downstairs to our Tobacco Factory Yard, where attendees will break out into workshop groups to dig deeper into the policy points of the Charter.
Following those workshops we will hear how the Thriving Avon Charter fits into a wider national movement of grassroots community action currently sweeping the UK, spearheaded by Surfers Against Sewage’ Protecting Wild Waters programme.
The day will be an opportunity for new local Councillors to come together with Bristol’s water users to foster meaningful discussion and solutions to safeguard the future of the Avon for all, in 2024 and beyond.
