“To me, self-expression through the use of colour is an act of freedom. Colour is life affirming and speaks to our human experience, soul and spirit.”

Sophia Gazla is an Artist and a Counselling Psychologist. In this age of technology and distraction, Sophia intentionally uses the process of painting abstract art as a way of connecting to and moving through her personal experience, as well as reflecting on that of the collective. Sophia’s process is an embodiment of the feminine way. She contemplates emotive and relational themes and works spontaneously and intuitively in the moment, using colour, brushwork and texture to convey these. Sophia has been selling her artworks on the Saatchi online Gallery over the past four years.
