Terry Williams is a Bristol-born local artist and resident in Southville. A former secondary school teacher, fine art-trained at both the Royal West of England and Bath Academy of Art, he has had much more time to devote to drawing and painting since retiring in 1995.

He ‘discovered’ oil bars fairly recently, finding them a medium that suits his temperament when faced with a blank canvas. He paints urban and rural landscapes with the Severn Estuary a frequent focus and would define his style as ‘realistic’ with abstract leanings. It is his policy never to produce prints of his work.
